Kylian Mbappe returns to PSG first team training

French superstar Kylian Mbappe has returned to training with the PSG first team following months away due to contractual dispute with the club.

A statement by the French Ligue One champions announced the club had talks with Mbappe before allowing him train with the first team on Sunday August 13.

The Frenchman was left out of the clubs opening league game of the season, a 0-0 draw at home to Lorient.

” After very constructive and positive discussions between Paris Saint-Germain and Kylian Mbappe before the PSG-Lorient match, the player was reinstated in the first training team this morning,” PSG said in a statement

France national team captain Kylian Mbappe has refused to sign an extension to his PSG deal, which means he will be free next summer , with Real Madrid lined up as his preferred destination.

PSG have been clear of their intention to sell him this summer and get a significant transfer fee for a player who cost 180 million euros ($198 million) when he joined from Monaco in 2017.

New PSG coach Luis Enrique on Friday said he hoped a solution could be found, but Mbappe has not been allowed train with the first team and was left out of the squad to face Lorient.

Mbappe attended the PSG Vs Lorient game on Saturday August 12 and sat alongside national teammate  Ousmane Dembele, who completed his transfer from Barcelona earlier in the day.
