Ladan Bosso to lead NPFL U17 team on European tour

Former Nigeria U20 coach Ladan Bosso has been chosen to lead the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) U17 Youth team on a European tour in Spain.

Bosso’s contract with the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) ended after the FIFA U20 World Cup in Argentina.

Bosso is focused on developing the best talent from the youth teams of NPFL clubs. “The primary objective is to make sure that some of the players are trained such that they will be part of the next national teams, like the Flying Eagles and Super Eagles,” he said.

Out of 50 invited players, 23 will make the final list, with two on standby. The screening process has already begun. “We will do everything to ensure that the best players are selected to represent Nigeria in Spain. They will play friendly matches against Spanish clubs to prepare them for future senior national team roles,” Bosso added.

Currently in Bayelsa, where he has been appointed Head Coach of Bayelsa United, Bosso promised a successful tour. “I thank NPFL Chairman Gbenga Elegbeleye for choosing me to lead the team to Spain. The country will benefit greatly from these players,” he said.
