Lagos-boy Bukayo Saka reflects on England’s Euro 2024 final loss to Spain
Arsenal and England football star of Nigerian descent, Bukayo Saka is in the news after his performance in the Euro 2024 final. For the second time in a European Championship final, Saka and his team came up short, losing to Spain.
Saka, who played a crucial role in the tournament, took to social media to share his thoughts. “It’s hard to put into words how I’m feeling right now,” he said. “But to all the fans, thank you for your incredible support throughout the tournament. You followed us across Germany and showed us love everywhere we went.”
Reflecting on the tournament, Saka added, “There’s no better feeling than playing for our country at these tournaments, and it’s even more special playing with a group like this. We all believe we’re on the right track and we’ll get there together. Thank you all again and see you soon.”
Saka is now set to take a break before returning to Arsenal for the Premier League season.
