Lampard talks on Abraham penalty incident in Chelsea 4-0 win against Palace
Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has had his say concerning the penalty incident involving Tammy Abraham in club’s 4-0 win against Crystal Palace om Saturday.
The Blues secured a comfortable win against The Eagles in a Premier League game clash between the London clubs.
New signing Ben Chilwell made his Premier League debut for Chelsea with a goal and an assist.
Kurt Zouma goal off Chilwell assist and two goals from the spot scored by Jorginho settled the clash.
But there was an incident in the build up to Chelsea’s fourth goal.
Chelsea awarded a second penalty after Kai Havertz was brought down in the box and Tammy Abraham who himself won the first penalty took the ball to play the second penalty
But the club’s captain Ceaser Azpilicueta stepped in and collected the ball from him gave to the designated player, Jorginho.
And the Italian stepped up and converted the penalty for his second fo the game and Chelsea fourth.
During the post match interview Lampard confirmed there was no problem.
“It’s been dealt with. No problems. Just dealt with. I want leaders – and a little bit of conflict.
“It’s good that Tammy was enthusiastic but you don’t jump ahead of the list.”
