Landlords looking to evict Imama

Abia Warriors manager, Imama Amapakabo has been warned by the management of the NPFL club that he and his backroom staff would be relieved of their duties if they do not win their next three matches.

Imama Amapakabo won the NPFL with Rangers International in 2016 before he was sacked the following season. The former goalkeeper has also managed El Kanemi Warriors as well as the U-23 Nigerian team. His last assignment was as Assistant coach of the Super Eagles.

Abia Warriors appointed Imama Amapakabo in July 2020 to lead them into the new season following a dismal run to end the 2019/2020 season in which they lost 7 games on the bounce. Since his appointment however, the Umuahia Landlords have failed to pick up a single point, losing all four of their NPFL matches this season including the Abia derby against bitter rivals, Enyimba. The Warriors are the only side still waiting for their first point in the league this season.

Amapakabo must now win his next three games against FC Ifeanyi Ubah in Nnewi, MFM FC in Aba and Lobi Stars in Makurdi to save his job.
