Leeds to face Chelsea at Wembley after reaching first FA Cup semi-final in 39 years

Leeds United will face Chelsea at Wembley after reaching the FA Cup semi-finals for the first time in 39 years.
Daniel Farke’s side defeated West Ham United 4-2 on penalties following an exciting 2-2 draw on Sunday to book their place in the last four.
In the other semi-final, last year’s runners-up Manchester City will take on Southampton.
Southampton, whose only FA Cup success came in 1976, shocked Premier League leaders Arsenal on Saturday to set up a clash with the seven-time winners.
Leeds last reached the semi-finals in 1987, when they lost 3-2 to Coventry City. Their only FA Cup triumph came in 1972.
The meeting between Leeds and Chelsea will also bring back memories of the 1970 final, when Chelsea beat Leeds after a replay at Old Trafford. It was the first FA Cup final to require a replay since 1912.
This year’s semi-finals will be played at Wembley on the weekend of April 25 and 26.
