Leeds United pulled off a brilliant 3–1 win over Chelsea at Elland Road, delivering one of their most confident performances of the season. Bijol opened the scoring before Tanaka curled in a superb second just before halftime, a historic moment as the first Asian player to score for Leeds.
Chelsea looked flat for most of the match, and even after Pedro Neto pulled one back, Leeds stayed in control. Calvert-Lewin’s late goal sealed it and sent the home crowd into full celebration.
After the match, Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca didn’t sugarcoat anything. He admitted Leeds were better “in all aspects” and said his team could barely take anything positive from the game.
For Leeds, it’s a huge lift out of the relegation zone. For Chelsea, it’s a worrying stumble in their title push. Elland Road, meanwhile, enjoyed a night that felt like a real turning point.
