Levante stun Real Madrid at home

La Liga title Atleti's to lose

Real Madrid were shocked at the Estadio Alfredo di Stefano in their La Liga fixture against Levante UD as the visitors came from behind to secure a 2-1 victory over their 10-man hosts.

Real Madrid came into the game 7 points behind league leaders and city rivals, Atletico Madrid. Defender, Eder Militao was given his marching orders for a last man tackle in the 9th minute before Toni Kroos set up Marco Asensio for his second goal of the season to put Real Madrid 1-0 up in the 13th minute. Levante UD equalised through Jose Luis Morales in the 32nd minute of the encounter. Roger Marti scored a 78th minute winner after previously missing a penalty to secure all three points for his side.

The result leaves Real Madrid 7 points adrift of first placed Atletico Madrid having played 2 games more than their next door neighbours.
