Liverpool Win 20th English Title After Beating Tottenham

Liverpool have been crowned champions of England for the 20th time after a 5-1 victory over Tottenham Hotspur at Anfield.

It is their second Premier League title, and they have secured it with four matches still left to play in the 2024-25 season.

Tottenham actually took the lead first through Dominic Solanke, but Luis Diaz equalised just four minutes later.
Alexis Mac Allister and Cody Gakpo then scored two brilliant goals to put Liverpool 3-1 ahead by half-time.

In the second half, Mohamed Salah was determined to get on the scoresheet and did so in the 63rd minute with a well-taken goal.
Liverpool’s fifth goal came when Tottenham’s Destiny Udogie scored an own goal.

It is a perfect first season for new Liverpool manager Arne Slot, who has guided the team back to the top of English football.

At the end of the match, ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’ echoed around Anfield as players and fans celebrated together.
The Liverpool players stood arm-in-arm, singing along with the crowd. Virgil van Dijk led the singing with passion.

Mohamed Salah, who scored yet again, even borrowed a fan’s phone to take a memorable selfie with supporters — a day the Liverpool faithful will never forget.

In a heart-warming moment, Liverpool’s young mascots were invited onto the pitch to celebrate with the players, with many queuing up to take selfies with Salah.

This is another historic chapter for Liverpool Football Club and their loyal fans.
