Lobi Stars risk FIFA Ban
Nigerian Professional league side Lobi Stars of Makurdi are in danger of sanctions and possible ban by the Federation of International Football Associations (FIFA).
Sportsration can exclusively confirm FIFA American agent Alicia Nikolis has dragged the Nigerian club before FIFA for financial breaches against her client Coach Eddy Dombraye who was in March 2022 relieved from his role at the club without due compensation as contained in the 2 years contract signed in September 2021.
A source Privy to happenings at FIFA confirmed Lobi Stars could face sanctions similar to the May 2020 decision against Heartland Fc for breaching the contract of Brazilian player Santos Da Coast Ivo Jorge if the club fails to remit due compensation as agreed in the 2 years contract Coach Eddy Dombraye signed with the club .
The petitioner Alicia Nikols an American FIFA licensed agent with Nigerian and Ghanaian roots had in a petition to FIFA demanded that Lobi Stars remit to her client compensation as agreed in the contract between both parties if he is sacked before the expiration of his contract.
An inside source at the Markudi based side who spoke to Sportsration on the condition of annonimty said ” We are struggling at the wrong end of the table already, I can tell you the recalled Vice Chairman Dominic Lorfa is concerned about issues like the Coach Eddy Dombraye compensation and is working round the clock to find solutions to this problems. Hopefully the club will soon open communication with Coach Eddy Dombraye to possibly reach an agreement that will put an end to this case”.
Lobi Stars Football club are currently in a relegation dog fight and will be worst served if the FIFA hammer falls on the club.
