Lonzo “Balled” almost equalled Lebron’s triple-double record as Lakers beat Suns

LA Lakers’ second-overall pick, Lonzo Ball turned up as Luke Walton side bounced back from day one defeat against rivals Clippers to beat Phoenix Suns 132-130 on Friday.

Lonzo Ball had a silent game in the first game against Clippers, bullied by Pat Beverly that he only managed 3 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 1 steal on Thursday,

His second game was exactly what the scouts saw in him as he fell short of equalling Lebron James long standing record by just an assist.

Lonzo Ball at 19 years, 358 days finished one assist shy of becoming youngest with an NBA triple-double a record LeBron James had at 20 years, 20 days.

His 29-point, 11-rebound, nine-assist dissection of Phoenix’s defense, leading Los Angeles to its first win of the year, 132-130.

Ball stole the spotlight with his conducting of the offense and gave a glimpse of what is to come.
