Lookman Scores and Assists in Atalanta’s 3–0 Champions League Win

Super Eagles forward Ademola Lookman was the star of the night as Atalanta cruised to a 3–0 win over Eintracht Frankfurt in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday. The Nigerian scored his first Champions League goal of the season and also provided an assist to help the Italian side secure a comfortable victory.

The first half was closely contested, with both teams finding it difficult to break each other down. However, the game came to life after the break. Lookman opened the scoring in the 60th minute, finishing calmly after receiving a well-placed pass from Charles De Ketelaere.

Just minutes later, Lookman turned provider. He slipped a smart ball through to Éderson, who doubled Atalanta’s lead with a composed finish. De Ketelaere then put the result beyond doubt in the 65th minute, finishing off a fine team move to make it 3–0.

The win gives Atalanta 10 points from five matches, placing them 10th in the overall standings as they prepare for a tough Match Day 6 meeting with Chelsea. Lookman’s goal and assist also take his season tally to two goals and one assist in 12 appearances across all competitions.
