” Luck Doesn’t Exist In Football ” Pep Guardiola Admits After 0-0 Draw Vs Crystal Palace
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has blamed his sides inability to convert chances not luck for their Goalless draw vs Crystal Palace on Monday Night.
With Liverpool breathing down their neck, Manchester City were desperate for a win at Selhurst park. Despite dominating possession 22/73 , taking 17 shots with a paltry 6 on target Pep Guardiola’s men could not find a way past Crystal Palace.
At the Post match interview immediately after the game Pep Guardiola said “We play a really good game. In 90 minutes we concede mistakes a little bit, but the way we played was really good.
“Luck doesn’t exist in football. We have to score goals and we didn’t do it. We played to score goals and concede few. We struggled a little bit.
“The guys who were playing were playing good, that’s why I didn’t make changes.
“We didn’t score, that was the mistake.
“The team that was there today was there before and will be there in the next game. I am very pleased with the performance and the way we played.”
Manchester city remain top of the standings four points above Liverpool who have a game in hand against Arsenal on Wednesday. A win for Liverpool will cut city’s lead to one point.
