Lukaku Shines as Napoli Comes from Behind to Beat Udinese
Napoli showed they could score without Victor Osimhen, coming from behind to beat Udinese 3-1 in the second half.
Udinese, missing their key goalkeeper Maduka Okoye, led for most of the match. But a strong performance from Napoli in the second half helped them secure the win.
Napoli started the game strong, with Antonio Conte’s team controlling the ball early on. They had a chance when David Neres missed a great cross from Giovanni Di Lorenzo. Udinese started to improve and almost scored when Florian Thauvin’s shot went over the bar. Thauvin then got a penalty after Napoli’s Stanislav Lobotka handled the ball. Although Napoli’s goalkeeper Alex Meret saved the penalty, Thauvin scored from the rebound to give Udinese the lead.
Napoli didn’t react well to the goal, but after a motivating halftime talk, they came out strong in the second half. Just five minutes into the second half, Romelu Lukaku scored his first goal since November, leveling the score at 1-1.
Napoli kept pressing, and soon took the lead when Neres’ run into the box led to an own goal by Udinese’s Lautaro Giannetti. Napoli finished off the win in the 81st minute with a powerful shot from Anguissa, which Udinese’s goalkeeper Razman Sava could not stop.
