Madueke Targets ‘Next Level’ After Brilliant Champions League Display

Noni Madueke says his main aim now is to become “consistently decisive” for Arsenal after scoring twice in their 3-0 Champions League win away at Club Brugge.
The 23-year-old winger delivered a superb performance, highlighted by a stunning 20-yard strike, as he reminded everyone of his quality when given the chance to start. Speaking after the match, Madueke said he is focused on offering constant danger whenever he plays.
“I think the bare minimum I need to give to my team is threat,” he told TNT Sports. “Trying to score and be as decisive as possible, that’s the next level I need to get to for club and country. I think I can reach that level.”
Madueke described his first goal as “really nice” and said he was delighted to help Arsenal continue their strong Champions League run.
“We’re fighting on all fronts,” he added. “I feel like we can win this competition and win the league — that has to be the aim. We’re in a good place at the moment.”
His display further showed why he can be an important option in Arsenal’s front line, especially with his ability to beat defenders and play in multiple attacking roles. Since returning from a knee injury in November, he has quickly rebuilt momentum, scoring in back-to-back European matches.
Madueke’s comments underline his ambition to force his way into regular contention, even with strong competition from Bukayo Saka on the right wing.
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta later praised his performance and challenged him to maintain this level in the busy period ahead.
