Maduka Okoye Attracts Interest from Bournemouth and AC Milan

Super Eagles goalkeeper, Maduka Okoye, is attracting interest from two top European clubs ahead of the new season.

Premier League side Bournemouth and Italian giants AC Milan are both said to be keen on signing the Nigerian international, with a possible transfer battle now on the cards.

Okoye, who plays for Udinese in Serie A, has impressed with his performances this season. He has now become the club’s first-choice goalkeeper, and his form has caught the eye of scouts across Europe.

According to Africafoot, Bournemouth are serious about signing him and have already made a bid of €13 million (around ₦23 billion). The English club is hoping to complete the deal quickly as they prepare for the 2025/2026 Premier League season.

AC Milan are also keeping a close watch on the situation. The Rossoneri had shown interest in Okoye in 2023 but were unable to reach an agreement with Udinese at the time.

Although Udinese may not want to lose their star goalkeeper, they might consider selling if the offer is good enough. Okoye is still under contract with the Italian side until 30 June 2028.

If the move goes through, Okoye could be joining fellow Super Eagles players like Calvin Bassey, Alex Iwobi, and Taiwo Awoniyi in the Premier League—or he might team up with Samuel Chukwueze at AC Milan.
