Maduka Okoye sits on the bench as Watford pick point on the road

Uzuho, Osigwe also warming bench

Maduka Okoye was on the bench as his English club played a 1-1 draw against Birmingham City in a Championship tie on Tuesday.

The Super Eagles goalie was on the bench as Watford secured a valuable point at St. Andrew’s.

George Hall put Birmingham in front when he clinically finished off a swift counterattack in the 19th minute to score his first-ever senior goal and put the Blues ahead.

Ken Sema equalized for Watford in the 63rd minute of the game when Gaspar’s cross was awkwardly parried by Ruddy and fell into his path.

Daniel Bachmann in goal for Watford did a decent job as he continued the good form that has seen him only concede 2 goals in four league games.

With Daniel Bachmann’s impressive form, it will be difficult for Maduka Okoye to beat him to Watford’s no 1 position.

Daniel Bachmann was even the Man of the Match in of Watford’s four games.

This is not a piece of good news for the Super Eagles as all the first-choice goalies (Francis Uzoho, Sebastian Osigwe, Maduka Okoye) are warming the bench for their clubs.

At this time we only have Adebayo Adeleye at Hapoel Katamon in Israel and Ayo Ezekiel Ikuepamitan in the Slovakian Second division as active keepers.
