Man City beat Liverpool to complete the demolition of last year’s finalists
End five-game winless run
Manchester City beat Liverpool 3-2 in the Carabao fourth-round game to complete a demolition against the 2022 finalists.
Nathan Ake scored the winner in the second half to hand Pep Guardiola’s men the win at the Etihad.
Erling Haaland scored the first goal of the game, 11 minutes into the start, but former Fulham wonder kid Fabio Carvalho equalized for Liverpool.
Riyad Mahrez gave City the lead again but Mo Salah pegged City back in the 48th minute just one minute after Man City’s goal.
But Nathan Ake pounced on De Bruyne’s cross to score the winning goal.
The win books Manchester City a place in the last eight, they now have beaten both the winners and runners-up from the 2022 edition.
