Man United Insider Worried About Cost of Victor Osimhen Deal
A Manchester United insider has expressed concern about the high cost of signing Victor Osimhen, saying the deal could be too expensive for the club.
Although bringing in the Nigerian striker would be seen as a dream move by many fans, there are financial obstacles that might stop the transfer from happening.
According to Isaac Seelochan of the Manchester Evening News, “If true, United might view this as a dream opportunity with a rival stepping away from the deal. But Osimhen’s reported wage demands won’t be appealing to the Reds, especially in their current financial position.”
The main concern is Osimhen’s expected wages, which could be too high for United, who are trying to keep their finances in check.
The club has been working hard to stay within financial fair play rules, and meeting Osimhen’s wage demands could make that more difficult.
Even though another club may no longer be in the race to sign him, Manchester United may still struggle to afford the full cost of the transfer and the striker’s salary.
Osimhen has been in top form since joining Galatasaray on loan from Napoli during the summer. He has scored 28 goals in 32 matches across all competitions, making him one of the most wanted strikers in Europe.
His excellent performances have increased both his value and his expected pay.
Now, Manchester United must decide if they can strike a balance between chasing top talent and staying financially responsible, especially if they want to sign the 26-year-old forward.
