Manager Talks About Tolu Arokodare’s Future at Racing Genk

Thorsten Fink, the manager of Racing Genk, has shared what he told Nigerian striker Tolu Arokodare about possibly leaving the club in the summer of 2025.

The 24-year-old has been in great form, scoring 13 goals and leading the team in goals. He has been linked with moves to big clubs. Arokodare’s improvement has been impressive, especially after some fans had criticized him for not meeting expectations in the past.

Arokodare’s strong performances have made him an important player for Genk. His ability to challenge defenders and keep control of the ball has made him stand out.

While Genk often relies on selling players, Fink has said that Arokodare will have the freedom to decide what he wants to do next. The club has sold players like Paul Onuachu, Daniel Muñoz, and Joseph Paintsil in the past, but Fink’s comments suggest Arokodare’s situation might be different.

Fink praised Arokodare’s skills and work ethic, saying he is a top striker. “You rarely get a striker who is fast, 1.97 meters tall, a good finisher, and can use both feet well,” Fink said in an interview. “If you work hard for the team, track your data, and play with intensity, you will score goals.”

Fink added, “I told him: Just five more months of hard work, and then you can choose which club you want to go to, if you decide to leave.”

Arokodare, who is still hoping for a call-up to the national team, has made 85 appearances for Genk, scoring 31 goals and providing 11 assists.
