Manchester City “waiting for Alexis Sanchez with open arms”
Manchester City are waiting for Alexis Sanchez “with open arms”, after he cast doubt over his return to Arsenal.
Sanchez is expected back at the club on Sunday, following an extended break.
But less than 24 hours after Arsene Wenger confirmed this, the 28-year-old posted a picture of himself on social media claiming to be “sick”.
However, the club remains adamant that Sanchez’s return date remains unchanged and plans for his pre-season schedule will only be altered once he is assessed.
City keeper Claudio Bravo, who plays with Sanchez for Chile, has now said: “If he decides to go, we’ll wait for him with open arms at City.”
The striker, who is also attracting attention from Paris Saint-Germain, has just one year left on his Arsenal contract and talks over a new deal have stalled.
