Manchester United hungry for more titles after Caraboa Cup win – Rashford

Manchester United defeated Newcastle by two unreplied goals to be crowned Caraboa cup champions and end the clubs six-year title drought.

After scoring to help United win the Caraboa Cup at Wembley, In-form Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford has revealed the players are hungry for more success this season.

With United enjoying a revival under Erik Ten Hag and in the mix for more success, Rashford and his teammates can re-write the clubs history if they maintain the current momentum.

On Saturday evening, Casemiro and Rashford scored in the first half as Manchester United ended its six-year trophy wait — the club’s longest wait for a major trophy since 1983.

“It’s a mixture of all the emotions. It’s massive for us to be involved in these types of games,” Rashford said in the post match interview.

” It’s something we’ve missed as a club,”

“The fact we’ve come all this way and won it, it’s a massive feeling. Hopefully it pushes us now to keep going.

There’s hunger to add more finals like this. I’ve been in finals where we’ve won and lost. It’s massive for us as a club and individuals and it’s part of our history. We want to keep adding to that.” the Englishman said.

Alongside Arsenal and Manchester City,  United are title contenders plus a UEFA Europa league and English Cup push on their hands this season.

The Red Devils will be busy on all fronts to add to their League Cup triumph, a task Englishman Marcus Rashford acknowledges they must push for.

He added: “We want to be involved in a lot of games and that means we’ve got to stay in the competitions. If we want to win things, we have to keep pushing.”

For Newcastle, it was another disappointment at Wembley. The Tyneside outfit club has now lost each of its last nine matches at the stadium, a run that began in the 1974 FA Cup final,
