Gabriel Martinelli scored landmark goals to help inform Arsenal beat Leeds United 4-1 at the Elland Road in a Premier League game on Saturday.
The only fixture played in the matchday 18 after five other games billed for today were pushed due to Covid-19 related issues.
The Leeds United and Arsenal clash was as good as over in the first half after the Gunners overpowered the home team on Saturday.
Gabriel Martinelli who scored a brace score his first goal in the 16th minutes of the game – his goal was Arsenal’s 7,000th top-flight goal third to only Everton (7,139) and Liverpool (7,069).
He completed his brace 12 minutes after his first goal and Bukayo Saka made it three in the 42nd minute of the game.
At the end of first half it was 3-0 in favour of Arsenal who had a total of 11 shots on target – the most by any side in the opening 45 minutes of a match since Opta records began in 2003-04.
The second half saw Rapinha pulled one back for Leeds United from the spot kick but Emile Smith-Rowe came from the bench to restore Arsenal’s 3-0 advantage.
Arsenal who sits comfortably in the 4th spot continue to push for the title while Leeds United continue their terrible form that have seen them conceded a total of 14 goals in their last three games.
