Mati Climbs ITTF Rankings, Assar Moves Up, Aruna Remains Africa’s Best

Mati Taiwo has moved 16 places in the latest International Table Tennis Federation rankings after his incredible performance at the just concluded World Table Tennis Championship in Durban, South Africa.

The 18-year-old sensation continue to announce his arrival at the biggest stage by getting to the last 32 at the World Table Tennis Championship in Durban, South Africa.

And his remarkable feat has been rewarded with a ranking of 75th position making him Africa’s fourth most ranked player.

Another player whose incredible run at the World Table Tennis Championship in Durban was African champion, Omar Assar, the Egyptian equaled Quadri Aruna’s feat by getting to the last eight before losing to Fan Zhendong.

Assar has moved 8 places to become the 22nd best in the world and Africa’s second best after Aruna Quadri who remained unchanged in the 16th spot.
