Mbappé Leads Champions League Scoring Race with 11 Goals

Kylian Mbappé is leading the race to be the 2025/26 UEFA Champions League top scorer, netting 11 goals in just six appearances.

The French forward scored twice as Real Madrid thrashed Monaco 6-1 on Tuesday, taking his tally to 11 and strengthening his position at the top of the scorers’ chart.

Mbappé, who missed Matchday 6, had already impressed on Matchday 5 with four goals, including the second-fastest hat-trick in Champions League history, in a thrilling 4-3 win over Olympiacos. His campaign began with three penalties – two against Marseille on Matchday 1 and one against Kairat Almaty on Matchday 2 – before he scored his first hat-trick of the season from open play. He later added a second treble against Olympiacos, marking the first time he had scored multiple hat-tricks in a single Champions League season.

Following Mbappé in the scoring charts are Victor Osimhen and Erling Haaland with six goals each. Osimhen has been in impressive form despite missing two matches for Galatasaray. He scored against Liverpool, Bodø/Glimt, and a hat-trick at Ajax but failed to score in the 1-0 loss at Monaco on Matchday 6. Haaland had scored in every Manchester City game until the 2-0 defeat to Leverkusen but returned to the scoresheet with a penalty in the win at Real Madrid.

Just behind them with five goals each are Harry Kane (Bayern Munich), Anthony Gordon (Newcastle), and Gabriel Martinelli (Arsenal).
