Meet the Man Favourite to Replace Juric as Ademola Lookman’s Coach

Atalanta are set to part ways with head coach Ivan Juric following a poor run of results and a recent fallout with Nigerian forward Ademola Lookman during a UEFA Champions League match last week.
According to reports, talks are now at an advanced stage for Raffaele Palladino to take over as the new manager of the Serie A club. Juric, who was appointed in the summer, has failed to convince the Atalanta board after a disappointing start to the season.
An official announcement regarding Juric’s removal could be made today, with Palladino expected to sign a two-year deal until 2027 worth around €2 million per year.
The 40-year-old Italian coach, who previously managed Monza and had a short stint at Fiorentina, has been in Milan since Wednesday with his coaching staff preparing for the move.
Palladino had been linked with a possible role at Juventus before Luciano Spalletti’s arrival, but Atalanta’s ongoing struggles appear to have opened the door for his return to the dugout.
Although Juric briefly eased pressure with a win over Olympique Marseille, last weekend’s defeat to Sassuolo proved to be the final straw for the club’s management.
If appointed, Palladino will be tasked with reviving Atalanta’s season and helping Lookman rediscover his best form after a turbulent few weeks under Juric.
