Mercedes-Benz Reports Victor Osimhen to Italian Authorities Over Alleged Unpaid Car Debt

Victor Osimhen has reportedly been accused by German car company Mercedes-Benz of failing to complete payments for a leased car in Italy.

According to reports from Napolista, Mercedes-Benz has filed a complaint with the Italian Carabinieri over an unpaid debt linked to a vehicle Osimhen leased in 2023. The company also claimed that the Super Eagles striker has not returned the car.

The report stated that the Nigerian forward allegedly owes about €90,000 (around ₦142 million).

Osimhen is regarded as one of the best strikers in world football. He has enjoyed successful spells in Belgium, France, Italy and now Turkey.

The 27-year-old became a hero at SSC Napoli after helping the club win the Serie A title for the first time in almost 40 years. He later moved to Galatasaray, where he reportedly became the highest-paid player in the history of the Turkish Süper Lig.

The Super Eagles star is also known for his generous lifestyle and support for fans and friends. Recently, he reportedly paid for Nigerian supporters to travel to Istanbul for Galatasaray’s derby win over Fenerbahce, where he scored in a 3-0 victory.

Osimhen is also known for his love of luxury cars and jewellery. In a recent video with a content creator, he showed off several expensive vehicles, including Lamborghinis, a Rolls-Royce and a Mercedes-Benz.

Neither Osimhen nor his representatives have made any official comment on the matter. Reports suggest the striker may try to settle the issue quickly to avoid distractions and remain focused on his football career in Turkey.
