Mercedes to introduce upgrades for Miami Grand Prix after disappointing Chinese GP

After not doing so well at the Chinese Grand Prix, Mercedes says they’ll make their car better for the next race in Miami.

Lewis Hamilton had a tough time in Shanghai with his Mercedes W15. Even though he did okay in the Sprint race, starting and finishing in second place, the main Grand Prix was tough.

He made a mistake in qualifying and ended up starting in 18th place. He only finished in ninth place, which is his worst start to a season in F1.

The boss of Mercedes, Toto Wolff, wasn’t happy with how the team did. He knows the car wasn’t fast enough, and Hamilton had trouble driving it. But he thinks the upgrades they’re bringing to Miami will help fix these problems.

“It’s not an OK car,” Wolff commented, highlighting the need for improvement. “We have got something coming for Miami that looks like a good step, let’s see where that brings us out.”

Hamilton agrees that they need to do better. He’s glad he got some points, but he knows they can do a lot better in Miami.

He says he tried a different way of setting up his car than his teammate George Russell, who did better and finished in sixth place in China.

Bringing upgrades to the car shows that Mercedes is serious about doing better and staying competitive in the championship. They’re working hard to make sure the car is set up right and can perform well in the next race in Miami.
