MFM stun Enyimba in NPFL rescheduled fixture

MFM FC finally broke their barren run against NPFL giants, Enyimba with a hard-earned 1-0 win at home against the People’s Elephant at the Soccer Temple in Agege in their rescheduled NPFL Matchday 15 encounter.

Enyimba came into the game against the Olukoya Boys missing two of their key players, Anayo Iwuala and John Noble who are on national assignment with Nigeria’s Super Eagles. They came on the back of 8 unbeaten games against the Lagos-based side. In fact, they had never fallen to defeat against MFM FC since MFM got promoted to the top flight. All that was undone by a 22nd minute strike by Ebenezer Odeyemi as MFM ran away with the three points to move out of the relegation zone.

Enyimba remain three points away from the top of the league, and they have played three game less than Kwara United who are at the summit of the league.
