Mikel, Boro on the verge after their continuous downward slide

A 1-0 loss to the league leaders, Norwich City at Riverside made it the fourth consecutive losses for Middlesbrough and Mikel Obi as their promotion into the Premier League from championship gradually fade away.

Mikel Obi was again on the pitch the entire game as Boro were beaten by Norwich at Riverside on Saturday.

He was only on the referee caution list as he received a yellow card for an infringement.

Loses to Norwich, Aston Villa, Preston and Brendtford meant 12 points that could have helped their promotion push lost. Hence, the reason they are now outside the promotion spot with two points.

With seven games to the end of the championship season before playoffs, Middlesbrough must rally to get back into winning ways so they can nick a playoff spot where they can fight for a place to be promoted to the Premier League next season.
