Mirra Andreeva fights back to Win Linz Title

Mirra Andreeva came from a set down to win the Linz Open, beating Anastasia Potapova 1-6, 6-4, 6-3 in the final.

After dropping the first set 6-1, she turned the match around to win in three and lift her second title of the season.

After the match, Andreeva said:

“I was struggling a lot on how to find a solution to play against [Potapova] today.”

“I want to thank myself today again for fighting until the end. For trying to find solutions. For never stopping and believing until the end that maybe somehow I can turn it around. I think it paid off today as well. Last thanks goes to myself.”

With the win, she joins Aryna Sabalenka and Jessica Pegula as the only players to win multiple WTA titles in 2026.

Anastasia Potapova also reflected on the moment:

“All the support I was getting this week from the crowd, I never had it in my life. I’m really thankful.”
