Mo Salah Wants Real Madrid In the UEFA Champions League Final.
- Seeks revenge for 2018 UCL Final loss
Liverpool pulled off a stunning second half performance to seal a 2-3 win over Villarreal on Tuesday night to book a place in the UEFA Champions League Final.
Immediately after the 5-2 aggregate win over Villarreal, Egyptian forward Mo Salah revealed Real Madrid as his choice of opposition for the UEFA Champions League final in Paris.
The Egyptian forward wants to face the Spanish side again, having fallen short against them in the 2018 Final. In that game, Salah was forced off early through an injury while Real Madrid went on to lift the trophy with a 3-1 victory.
Salah explained after the game in Villarreal: “I want to play Madrid, I have to be honest. City is a really tough team, we played against them a few times this season. I think personally, I would prefer Madrid. We lost in the final to them so I want to play against them and hopefully win it.”
Real Madrid will on Wednesday night host Manchester City in the second semi final. City hold a slender 4-3 advantage from the first leg.
