Mohamed Salah has reached another milestone in the Premier League. He scored against Manchester United at Anfield, tying Thierry Henry’s record of 175 Premier League goals.
Salah’s goal came in the 70th minute from a penalty, bringing his total to 175 goals. However, it took Salah 282 games to reach this milestone, while Henry achieved it in 258 games.
In addition to his 175 goals, Salah has also provided 82 assists in the Premier League for Liverpool.
The all-time record for most Premier League goals is held by Alan Shearer, who scored 260 goals. However, Salah may not have the chance to break this record, as he announced he will leave Liverpool at the end of this season. Salah is currently in the final year of his contract, and there have been no talks about renewing it.
Liverpool drew 2-2 with Manchester United in this match, which was a missed opportunity to extend their lead at the top of the table. They could have gone eight points clear of second-place Arsenal, who drew 1-1 with Brighton the day before. Despite the draw, Liverpool still have a strong six-point lead at the top of the Premier League with a game in hand.
