Mohamed Salah sends an eight-word reply to Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher following his latest criticism
Mohamed Salah has hit back at Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher after the former defender criticised his recent behaviour. The 32-year-old forward is in the final six months of his contract at Liverpool, sparking worry among fans about his future at the club.
Salah, along with Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold, is now free to sign a pre-contract agreement with other clubs, which has added to the anxiety. Salah has been in excellent form this season, scoring 18 goals and providing 13 assists in just 19 Premier League games.
Recently, Salah posted a photo with Van Dijk and Alexander-Arnold, which many saw as a message to Liverpool’s management about his contract situation. Carragher, who had already called Salah “selfish” for his comments about his deal, criticised the star again, urging Salah and Alexander-Arnold to behave more like Van Dijk, who has remained calm about his own future.
In response, Salah tweeted a sharp message, saying: “I’m starting to think you’re obsessed with me.” Carragher seemed to take it in good humour, but it’s clear the tension between the two remains.
Salah, who turns 33 in June, is reportedly seeking a huge contract to stay at Liverpool. His future is a big concern for fans, as it would be a huge loss if such a talented player were to leave for free.
