Moses Itauma Destroys Dillian Whyte in Under Two Minutes

Young British heavyweight boxer Moses Itauma made a huge impact on Saturday night by knocking out Dillian Whyte in just 1 minute and 59 seconds at the ANB Arena in Riyadh.
The 20-year-old southpaw, fighting at the top of a professional card for the first time, dropped the 37-year-old veteran with a powerful right hand. Although Whyte got back up, the referee, Mikael Hook, stopped the fight soon after.
Itauma, who has Nigerian roots, now has 13 wins in 13 fights, with 11 of those coming by knockout. This was the biggest win of his career so far, and he delivered it in style.
At the start, Itauma used clever movements to test Whyte, then quickly began landing strong punches. Whyte looked uncomfortable and was pushed onto the ropes as Itauma carefully picked his shots.
A well-timed right hook to Whyte’s head ended the contest. Despite Whyte’s brave effort to continue, it was clear he couldn’t recover.
Promoter Frank Warren praised Itauma’s calm and smart performance.
“He showed great control and confidence. He fights better than many boxers at their best – and he’s only 20,” Warren told BBC Radio 5 Live.
Itauma was born in Slovakia but fights for Britain. He has only gone past the second round twice in his career and already has eight first-round knockouts.
Whyte, who came in at his lightest weight in ten years and looked in top shape, still couldn’t handle Itauma’s speed and power.
With heavyweight stars like Joseph Parker, Derek Chisora and Lawrence Okolie watching from ringside, Itauma’s win has boosted his chances of a world title shot within the next year.
