Moses Simon’s Stunning Goal Gives Nantes Big Win; Akor Adams Struggles with Montpellier
Moses Simon scored a brilliant goal to help Nantes win 1-0 against Rennes at Stade de la Beaujoire. Simon started the game for Nantes, and he had already been in good form with three goals and four assists this season.
The first half was even, with both teams having equal possession and chances to score. However, Rennes lost a player just before halftime when Mikayil Faye was sent off for a foul tackle, giving Nantes an advantage.
In the second half, Nantes took control of the game. Simon had a chance to score in the 65th minute but missed when his shot went wide. As the game seemed to be heading for a draw, Simon produced a moment of magic. He dribbled past two defenders and curled the ball into the net, securing a 1-0 win for Nantes.
On the other hand, Akor Adams and Montpellier lost 2-0 to Lens at Stade Bollaert-Delelis. Adams came on when Montpellier were already one goal down, but he didn’t have a chance to make an impact.
