MOTM Osimhen says his goals will come with or without penalties
Victor Osimhen is confident his goals will come if he takes penalties or not, reports SportsRation.
The Nigerian striker scored a brace as Napoli defeated Frankfurt 3-0 in the second leg of their UEFA Champions League round of 16 clash on Wednesday.
Osimhen scored a looping header in the first half to give Napoli the lead going into the break, and he completed his brace in the second half.
He could have scored his first Champions League hat trick but Piotr Zielinski took the penalty and Osimhen revealed that he was asked by the Polish midfielder.
“Zielinski asked if he could take the penalty and I said no problem.
“It doesn’t matter who scores as long as the team achieves success.
“It’s the most important thing. I know my goals will come with or without penalties.”
After his incredible display at the Diego Maradona stadium, he was named the man of the match.
In 28 games this season, Victor Osimhen has scored 23 goals and assisted 5 goals – that is 28 goals contributions in 28 games.
