Musa leaves NPFL, joins Turkish side Fatih Karagumruk
Super Eagles captain seals return to Europe with Super Lig switch
Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa has been officially unveiled as a new signing for Turkish Super Lig side Fatih Karagumruk after he put pen to paper on a one-year deal with the club.
Former Leicester City and CSKA Moscow ace Musa, whose last known club was Kano Pillars in the NPFL, joins the Turkish side on a free transfer after the get-out clause in his Kano Pillars contract was activated, enabling him to leave the club for an European one once a bid came in for him. He appeared in 10 NPFL matches for Sai Masu Gida in his second stint at the club, assisting once. Musa, 28, had been without a club since terminating his contract with Saudi Arabian side Al Nassr before joining Kano Pillars on a short-term deal.
The Super Eagles captain has signed a one-year deal worth a reported €2.2 million as he looks to re-establish himself outside the shores of Nigeria.
