Musician J.Cole makes professional basketball debut for Patriots in Basketball Africa League
Helps Rwandan side to a convinving 83-60 win over Rivers Hoopers
American artiste Jermaine Cole, popularly known as J.Cole made his professional basketball bow as he represented the Patriots Basketball Club of Rwanda at the Kigali Arena against Nigeria’s Rivers Hoopers in the opening game of the inaugural Basketball Africa League.
J.Cole played as a Shooting Guard and lasted 17 minutes on the court, scoring 3 points, 2 assists and picking up 3 rebounds. The Rwandan side overran their Nigerian opposition 83-60 at the end of the game despite losing the first quarter by a single point. J.Cole is expected to play between 3 and 6 games for the Patriots before he leaves the competition. Brandon Costner led the scoring for the Patriots with 20 points, 2 rebounds and 2 assists.
