‘My shooting not the problem for LA Lakers’ – Kobe Bryant

Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant has insisted that his loss of shooting form is not the biggest problem for the club, saying that he could have scored 80 points in the defeat to Golden State Warriors and “it would not have made a damn difference”.

Lakers lost 111-77 to Warriors on Tuesday in a game which saw Bryant sink just one of 14 attempts from the court to continue his struggle for form this season.

Since the start of the campaign, the 17-time NBA all-star has a shooting percentage of just 31% overall, but he insists that the franchise has bigger problems than his failure to reach previous heights.

“I am not really worried about it, honestly,” he told ESPN. “My shooting will be better. “I could have scored 80 tonight, it would not have made a damn difference.

We just have bigger problems. I could be out there averaging 35 points a game. We’d be what, 3-11? “We have got to figure out how to play systematically in a position that is going to keep us in ball games.”

Lakers are bottom of the Western Conference Pacific Division with a record of 2-12, leaving them 13 points behind undefeated division leaders Warriors.
