Naija Super 8: 3SC GM sad after loss to Remo Stars
3SC General Manager Dimeji Lawal is not a happy man after his team fell 0-3 to Remo Stars in the south-west playoffs for the Naija Super 8 at the Eket Stadium.
In the game on Friday June 23, Remo Stars started on a bright note as Andy Okpe finished of a goal-mouth scramble in the opening minute.
Few minutes later, Remo Stars doubled their lead, defender Boniface Nwaeze headed home from a corner-kick. That 2-0 score remained unchanged until the half-time break.
Samuel Anaekwe added a third in the second half to ensure Remo Stars will fly the South West flag when the Naija Super 8 finals gets underway in Lagos.
In his reaction to the loss, Dimeji Lawal on his twitter handle described it as a bad day where their efforts did not pay off.
He wrote “It’s really a bad day for us,”
“The result failed to match the team’s effort.
“We will continue to work harder to get the best for the new season.”
