Naija Super 8: Fatai Osho rules out Akwa United excuses as competition gets underway
Just one week after taking charge at Akwa United FC as Head Coach, Fatai Osho says he will not give any excuses if the team does not perform well at the Naija Super 8 competition.
Osho has since replaced Ayodeji Ayeni whose contract was not renewed by the uyo-based club at the end of last season.
The former Rivers United FC assistant coach has had just a week with the new and old players at Akwa United FC but will hope to oversee a positive performance at the maiden edition of the Naija Super 8 competition.
The competition gets underway today Friday July 7 at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan Lagos, with Akwa United FC playing their first game vs Yobe Desert Stars on Saturday July 8.
Akwa United FC will face Yobe Desert Stars, Rivers United FC and Lobi Stars FC in the group stage of the money-spinning off season tournament.
The Promise Keepers alongside Premier League new boys Sporting Lagos FC were last week named wild cards by the organizers of the Naija Super 8 competition.
