Napoli Loan Nigerian Forward Adugbe Olamide to Serie B Club Freedom FC
Napoli has loaned Nigerian forward Adugbe Olamide to Serie B Femminile club Freedom FC Women, as confirmed by the club.
Olamide, who joined Napoli in September 2024 from Rivers Angels, had made six appearances in Serie A. Her loan move to Freedom FC Women is expected to help the team improve their position in the Serie B standings. Currently, the club is eighth with 19 points from 13 games. Olamide’s speed and skill are seen as a boost to their attack.
Rivers Angels, her previous club, announced her departure in September, when she signed a one-year contract with Napoli, with options for the following two seasons. However, after just six games at Napoli, the club decided to loan her out to gain more playing experience.
At Napoli, Olamide wore the number 17 shirt and expressed excitement about joining the team, aiming for improvement and success. Though her time at Napoli was short, she is expected to make a big impact at Freedom FC Women.
Meanwhile, Napoli is struggling in Serie A, sitting ninth with only six points from 13 games and having lost nine matches, with just one win. By loaning Olamide, Napoli hopes she can develop her skills in a more competitive environment.
Olamide will wear the number 88 jersey at Freedom FC Women as she looks to help the team improve their performance and get more playing time in the second half of the season.
