Napoli v Atalanta: Spalletti expects a tough game as Osimhen and Lookman go to war
Osimhen eyes his 20th league goal as Lookman set to end 6-game goal drought
Napoli manager Luciano Spalletti is expecting a tough game when Victor Osimhen and his teammates play against Ademola Lookman and his Atalanta side on Saturday.
The tie will see Victor Osimhen and Ademola Lookman go against each at the Diego Maradona Stadium by 6 pm Nigerian time.
Napoli and Victor Osimhen will be looking to get back into their winning groove after the shocking 1-0 defeat to Lazio last Friday.
On the hand, Ademola Lookman who is without a goal in his sig games in all competitions will be hoping to end his goal drought.
Napoli coach Luciano Spalletti expects a big fight from Atalanta when they face later today.
“You build mentality over time and that game was one that reinforced the concept of football we wanted,” said Spalletti in his press conference.
“It’s always fascinating against Atalanta and you have to really fight to earn the result. I don’t think we need to react to the defeat against Lazio, because we had the right attitude and only lost due to a few details.
“Atalanta play in a completely different way to Lazio, they give you space between men, come and attack you, then give you the illusion of being open, but that’s just because they move faster.”
Despite his 5-game goal drought in Serie A, Ademola Lookman still has 13 goals and is currently 3rd on the top-scorers chart behind Osimhen (19), and Lautaro Martinez (14).
