Nasarawa United, Beyond Limits, El-Kanemi Warriors, and Ikorodu City FC have successfully secured their places in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) for the 2024/2025 season.

This achievement follows their impressive performances in the Northern and Southern conferences at the Nigeria National League (NNL) Super Eight playoffs, held in Enugu State.

On Wednesday, June 12, 2024, in the crucial Matchday three games, both Nasarawa United and El-Kanemi Warriors confirmed their promotion to the NPFL with decisive victories.

Nasarawa United topped the Northern Conference with a perfect record of nine points from three games, sealing their promotion with a 2-1 win over Sporting Supreme in their final group match. El-Kanemi Warriors also earned their spot with an emphatic 4-1 victory over Sokoto United, finishing second in the Northern Conference with six points from three games. Both teams will be returning to the NPFL after previous relegations.

In the Southern Conference, Beyond Limits and Ikorodu City secured their historic promotions to the top flight. Beyond Limits finished first in the conference with seven points, clinching their NPFL spot with a 1-0 win over Inter Lagos in their last group game. Ikorodu City, based in Lagos, claimed the second promotion spot by finishing with five points after a 2-0 victory against Madiba FC.

Nasarawa United and Beyond Limits will now face each other to determine the champions of the Nigeria National League for the 2023/2024 season. This marks a significant milestone for all four clubs as they prepare to compete in Nigeria’s premier football league.
