NBA 2024-25: Anthony Edwards Tops List as 3-Point King in Record-Breaking Season
The NBA has changed a lot over the years, and the 3-point shot is now more important than ever. In 2000, only seven players made more than 100 three-pointers. This season, that number grew to 139 – showing how much players’ shooting skills have improved. At the top of the list this year is a new champion: Anthony Edwards.
1. Anthony Edwards, Timberwolves – 320 3-pointers
Edwards claimed the 3-point title in dramatic fashion, hitting seven 3s and scoring 43 points on the final day of the regular season. He won by just one 3-pointer and reached 300 3s in a season for the first time in his career. At only 23 years old, this may be the start of many more strong seasons. His total is also the seventh-highest in NBA history.
2. Malik Beasley, Pistons – 319 3-pointers
Beasley played all 82 games and was key to the Pistons’ surprise season. Even without playing 30 minutes per game, he averaged 16.3 points and nearly four 3-pointers a night.
3. Stephen Curry, Warriors – 311 3-pointers
Curry continued his dominance, finishing with over 300 3s for the sixth time – no other player has done that more than once. He remains the all-time leader with more than 4,000 made 3-pointers and has now been in the top 10 for 14 straight seasons.
4. Derrick White, Celtics – 265 3-pointers
White has grown into a top shooter, helping the Celtics set records for team 3-point shooting. He averaged 16.4 points and hit 38% of his shots from deep.
5. Payton Pritchard, Celtics – 255 3-pointers
Pritchard surprised many by finishing this high while coming off the bench. He averaged 14.3 points and hit 41% of his 3s in just 28 minutes per game.
6. Tyler Herro, Heat – 251 3-pointers
With Jimmy Butler gone, Herro became Miami’s main man. He delivered with a career-best 23.9 points per game and 251 3s.
7. Jayson Tatum, Celtics – 250 3-pointers
Tatum added another strong shooting year, leading a powerful Celtics trio on this list. He averaged 26.8 points and 3.5 made 3s per game.
8. Zach LaVine, Kings – 239 3-pointers
LaVine adjusted well after his mid-season move from the Bulls to the Kings, ending with a career-best in 3s made.
T-9. James Harden, Clippers – 235 3-pointers
Harden bounced back with a strong season, still showing his range at age 35. He now has 3,175 career 3-pointers – second only to Curry.
T-9. Jordan Poole, Wizards – 235 3-pointers
Poole had a breakout year, leading the Wizards while averaging career-highs in points, assists, and 3s made.
