NBA Recap: Bucks, 76ers, Suns, Hornets pick up wins

Magic, Rockets, Trail Blazers lose again

The Phoenix Suns strengthened their grip on the Western Conference of the NBA with a 120-90 win over the Portland Trail Blazers in their encounter on Wednesday.

The Suns became the first side to win 50 ganes in the NBA this season despite being without their All-Star backcourt. Chris Paul suffered an injury on February 16th, and Devin Booker was put in the league’s COVID-19 protocol.

Cam Johnson led the scoring for the Suns with his tally of 20 points in the game, and DeAndre Ayton contributed 18 points for the Suns.

James Harden featured for the first time at home for the Philadelphia 76ers in their 123-108 win over the New York Knicks. Joel Embiid led the scoring for the 76ers with 27 points as Harden recorded 26 points and Tyrese Maxey recorded 25 points.

Reigning champions Milwaukee Bucks showed their mettle with a hard-fought 120-119 win over the Miami Heat. Giannis Antetokounmpo led the scoring for the Bucks with his tally of 28 points. Tyler Herro scored 30 points for the Eastern Conference leaders and Gabe Vincent scored 21 points.

The Oklahoma City Thunder picked up a shock 119-107 win over the Denver Nuggets in their clash. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the scoring for the Thunder with 29 points, and Isaiah Rudy scored 26 points in the game.

The New Orleans Pelicans defeated the Sacramento Kings 125-95 in their NBA clash. Brandon Ingram led the scoring with 33 points, and Jonas Valanciunas and CJ McCollum each scored 17 points.

Utah Jazz required overtime to defeat the Houston Rockets 132-127 in their NBA encounter. Donovan Mitchell scored 37 points and 10 rebounds in the game as Rudy Gobert finished with 27 points. Jalen Green also scored 27 points for the Rockets.

The Indiana Pacers defeated the Orlando Magic 122-114 after overtime in their clash on Wednesday. Malcolm Brogdon finished the game with 31 points and 11 rebounds for the Pacers, and Tyrese Haliburton scored 21 points.

The Charlotte Hornets defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers 119-98 in their NBA encounter. Terry Rozier led the scoring for the Hornets with 29 points. Darius Garland scored 33 points for the Cavaliers.
