NBA Recap: Nets, Grizzlies return to winning ways

Heat, Nuggets, Celtics, Cavaliers all win

The Brooklyn Nets bounced back from a defeat in their last game to pick up a 126-123 win over reigning champions Milwaukee Bucks.

The Brooklyn Nets were boosted by the presence of Kyrie Irving, who missed their last home game. Irving led the scoring for the Nets with 38 points, five rebounds and five assists, a season-high points tally. Seth Curry recorded 19 points for the Brooklyn Nets in the game to help them get the win.

Giannis Antetokounmpo and Bobby Portis scored a combined 59 points for the Milwaukee Bucks in their defeat against the Brooklyn Nets, but were unable to save their team.

The Memphis Grizzlies defeated the #1 team in the East, the Chicago Bulls, 116-110 when both sides clashed in the NBA on Saturday. Ja Morant led the scoring with a career-high tally of 46 points for the Grizzlies. DeMar DeRozan scored 31 points and Zach LaVine contributed 28 for the Bulls.

Miami Heat defeated the San Antonio Spurs 133-129 in their NBA clash on Saturday. Bam Adebayo led the scoring with 36 points for the Heat. Jimmy Butler and Tyler Herro recorded 27 points apiece in the game.

Nikola Jokic scored a triple-double as the Denver Nuggets recorded a 115-110 win over the Sacramento Kings in their NBA clash. Jokic finished with 18 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists for the Nuggets. Aaron Gordon led the scoring for the Nuggets with 23 points on the night.

The Boston Celtics picked up an 11th win in 12 games as they exacted revenge on the only side to have beaten them in that period, the Detroit Pistons. Jayson Tatum scored 26 points and Jaylen Brown scored 27 points as the Celtics won 113-104.

The Cleveland Cavaliers picked up a 92-86 win over the Washington Wizards on Saturday in the NBA. Lauri Markkanen led the scoring for the Cavaliers with 23 points, and All-Star center Jarrett Allen scored 18 points and 14 rebounds.

The Atlanta Hawks picked up a 127-100 win over the Toronto Raptors. Trae Young led the scoring for the Hawks with 41 points in the game. D’Tigers star Precious Achiuwa scored a season-high 21 points for the Raptors in the game.
