NBA Recap: Nets losing run continues as Bucks, 76ers, Celtics win
Pelicans, Mavericks, Cavaliers all win
The Brooklyn Nets extended their losing run in the NBA to eight games after a 124-104 defeat at the hands of the Denver Nuggets in their clash on Sunday.
Nikola Jokic recorded a triple-double for the Nuggets in the clash with 27 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists. Six other Nuggets players reached double figures for points in the encounter. Kyrie Irving recorded a double-double of 27 points and 11 assists for the Nets, who were without the injured duo of Kevin Durant and James Harden for the clash.
The Philadelphia 76ers defeated the Chicago Bulls 119-108 in their NBA clash. Joel Embiid led the scoring in the game with 40 points, 10 rebounds and three assists for the Sixers. Bulls’ DeMar DeRozan led all scorers with 45 points in the game.
The Minnesota Timberwolves defeated the Detroit Pistons 118-105. Karl-Anthony Towns led the scoring for the Timberwolves with 24 points and 12 rebounds in the clash. D’Angelo Russell contributed 22 points for the Timberwolves in the encounter.
The Cleveland Cavaliers defeated the Indiana Pacers 98-85 to continue their impressive run in the NBA. Cedi Osman contributed 22 points and Kevin Love dropped 19 points in the clash. Jarrett Allen and Rajon Rondo each recorded a double-double.
The Boston Celtics recorded a 116-83 win over the Orlando Magic in their clash on Sunday. Jaylen Brown led the scoring with 26 points for the Celtics, and Dennis Schroder recorded 22 points.
Luka Doncic dropped a triple-double as the Dallas Mavericks defeated the Atlanta Hawks 103-94. The Slovenian recorded 18 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists for the Mavericks, and Jalen Brunson recorded 22 points.
The New Orleans Pelicans picked up a 120-107 win over the Houston Rockets in their clash on Sunday in the NBA. Brandon Ingram led the scoring with 33 points and 12 assists for the Pelicans.
Reigning champions Milwaukee Bucks picked up a 137-113 win over the Los Angeles Clippers in their NBA meeting. Giannis Antetokounmpo recorded 28 points and 10 rebounds for the Bucks, and Jrue Holiday contributed 27 points and 13 assists.
