NBA Recap: Suns extend lead atop Western Conference as Bulls, Cavaliers win
Western Conference leaders Phoenix Suns continued atop the standings with a 115-108 win over the Utah Jazz at the Footprint Center.
Fresh from losing to the Golden State Warriors, the Utah Jazz looked to bounce back against the Phoenix Suns, but the Suns had other ideas in their encounter.
Devin Booker led the scoring for the Phoenix Suns with 33 points, seven rebounds and three assists in the game. Chris Paul recorded a double-double in the match with 27 points and 14 assists, and Bismack Biyombo finished with 16 points and 13 rebounds. Jordan Clarkson led the scoring for the Jazz, who were without reigning DPOTY Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell for the game.
Chicago Bulls defeated the Oklahoma City Thunder 111-110 to bounce back from consecutive defeats to the Milwaukee Bucks and Orlando Magic.
Nikola Vucevic led the scoring for the Bulls with a double-double of 26 points and 15 rebounds in the game. Rookie and D’Tigers hopeful Ayo Dosunmu finished the game with 24 points and eight assists for the Bulls, and Zach Lavine had 23 points in the game.
The Cleveland Cavaliers kept up their good run of form with a 95-93 win over the New York Knicks. Kevin Love led the scoring for the Cavaliers with 20 points and 11 rebounds, and Evan Mobley added 15 points and 12 rebounds. Darius Garland also had 13 points and 12 assists for the Cavaliers. RJ Barrett led the scoring for the Knicks with 24 points, and Julius Randle added another 18 points.
The New Orleans Pelicans defeated the Indiana Pacers 117-113. Devonte Graham led the scoring for the Pelicans with 25 points, and Jonas Valanciunas added a double-double of 16 points and 12 rebounds. Josh Hart also recorded 22 points and 10 rebounds for the Pelicans.
